Snaefellsnes Kayaking Tour Next to Kirkjufell Mountain

Snæfellsnes is a great region to go kayaking and what better place in Snæfellsnes than Grundarfjörður, home to the graceful Kirkjufell mountain. Get the perfect ocean view of Kirkjufell on this Snæfellsnes Kayaking tour.

Kirkjufell mountain is one of the most photographed natural sights in Iceland. We feel there is no better way to view and enjoy this beautiful mountain than from your kayak, sitting in the North-Atlantic ocean. In this 2 hour tour, you will paddle along the beautiful coastline of Snæfellsnes. Enjoy the gorgeous scenery, and eventually – if you are lucky, meet some curious seals along your way. If you are adventurous, feel free to jump into the water and float in your drysuit in the cold sea.

If you want to capture the moment on film, you should definitely bring your phone and/or camera along with you, to be able to relive your experience with your friends and family back home!

This kayaking tour is suitable for everyone – beginners and experienced kayakers alike. So, there is no excuse not to try it out and admire the stunning mountain from all angles. Your local expert guide will go over a safety briefing with you at the beginning of the tour and will teach you all the simple kayaking techniques. You will receive all necessary equipment, such as a life vest, drysuit, under-suit (to keep you warm), shoes, gloves and last but not least, the kayak and paddle.

This kayaking tour is operated by one of our reliable partners.

Meeting point: In Grundarfjörður in the north of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Address: Sæból (see map for exact location).
