Kulusuk is situated on an island overlooking the Apusiaajik Glacier. Here colossal icebergs are produced that slowly move towards the open sea. The small settlement is an excellent introduction to the way of life in a settlement in Greenland and the icebergs that surround the city are simply wonderful.
Upon arrival in Kulusuk your guide will welcome you at the airport. He will take you on a tour of the village where you will have the possibility to learn more about the traditional hunting and fishing which are still essential sources of income for many families in the settlement. In many ways life here has not changed in the last 150 years. In your return flight in the afternoon you can enjoy a spectacular view from the plane, over huge glaciers, rugged landscape and floating icebergs. If you wish you can get a certificate of visit at Reykjavík Airport upon return.
