Day 1 | Magnificent waterfalls and awe-inspiring black beach
You will be picked up at 9:00 AM from one of the designated locations in Reykjavík, which can be found here. Soon enough you‘ll be on your way to explore the wonderful South Coast of Iceland. After making your way through the mountainous road to Hveragerði and admiring its geothermally active surroundings, you‘ll be getting closer to the first stop of your tour – the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. It‘s the waterfall that it‘s possible to walk behind if the conditions are favourable. Bear in mind that it‘s quite a damp walk so remember to wear a waterproof outer layer! The next stop you‘ll be making is at Skógafoss waterfall, a huge one located just by the main road. It‘s 60m high and 25m wide and it‘s not rare to see a sparkly rainbow reflecting in the mist.
The next spot you‘ll be visiting is the famous Reynisfjara, the Black Sand Beach. It‘s located in breathtaking surroundings amongst dramatic basalt cliffs, rocky sea stacks, and sinister waves. You‘ll also be able to see Dýrhólaey cliffs in the distance but remember to watch out for the sneaky waves! After an adventurous day, you‘ll be on your way to your accommodation for the night in the Southeast. The guide will meet you after dinner to inform you about the Northern Lights’ conditions. If the forecast is good, you can count on a magical spectacle to begin!

Day Highlights: Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Skógafoss Waterfall, Reynisfjara, the Black Beach, Northern Lights (depending on the conditions)
Day 2 | Majestic glacier lagoon and breathtaking ice cave
The first stop on the second day of your exploration is Jökulsárlón, the famous glacier lagoon. It‘s 200m deep and the view of the icebergs floating on its surface is breathtaking. They‘re constantly moving and breaking off the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, which is an outlet of the biggest glacier in Europe – Vatnajökull. The view gets even more magical during wintertime when the sun stays low on the horizon for the whole day. Just on the opposite side of the road, you‘ll be headed to the so-called Diamond Beach. The icebergs from the glacier lagoon move towards the ocean and once they reach it, they‘re quickly thrown back to the shore broken into smaller pieces.
Next, you will be up to the highlight of the whole tour – you‘ll get to explore the amazing Crystal Ice Cave! You‘ll be led by an experienced guide who‘ll be sharing his vast knowledge about this natural wonder. The ice formations are breathtaking and it‘s one of those sights that are going to stay with you for a long time. After two days packed with activities and richer in experience, you‘ll be headed back to Reykjavik.
