Silfra Diving Tour
The Silfra fissure is very unique and one of the most popular diving sites in Iceland. Silfra is a fascinating site of wonder. Here you can dive in naturally lava filtered 2°C water, with up to 100 meters of visibility. You will dive a maximum of 18 meters deep.
Silfra Diving Tour
Silfra is located in Þingvellir, a location rich in history and geology, a divide between the Eurasian and the North American tectonic plates. You will go on one dive and you will be accompanied by experienced diving guides around Silfra fissure on your exploration of this magnificent site. The clarity of the water and the rock formations are truly a marvel of nature. You will explore four parts of Silfra which include the Big Crack, The Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and Silfra Lagoon, each with its own marvelous architecture and splendor.
Keep in mind that the water is very cold (2-4°C). Pick-up is available from your accommodation in Reykjavík. You can also meet up with the guides directly at Þingvellir. Please read the requirements for the tour described below very carefully.
If you have friends or family who are not certified divers but would also like to experience Silfra, they would be very welcome to join the Snorkeling Silfra Day Tour.
