Horseback Riding Tour at Beach in Snaefellsnes

Are you searching for a special horse adventure in Iceland? Enjoy Iceland horseback riding at the beach of Snæfellsnes with a magnificent view on the ocean and on Snæfellsjökull glacier.

The riding tour will start at a family-owned horse farm on the south coast of Snæfellsnes Peninsula. You will go on a riding tour that takes about 1 hour. During the tour, you will ride through a remote area where you can enjoy the nature off the beaten track.

You will ride on the endless beach of South Snæfellsnes with a view to Snæfellsjökull glacier. The Icelandic horse has a special gait called „tölt“.

It is very memorable because you feel like sitting relaxed on your couch, even though you are riding quite fast. How nice to try the tölt in this surrounding! After the tour, you will get some tea and coffee at the farm. The tour is family-friendly and suitable for beginners.

The starting point is between Búðir and Arnarstapi (about 2,5 hours drive from Reykjavik). The minimum age for the tour is 7 years. Children younger than 7 can be led by rein nearby the stables.
