Welcome to your Iceland Honeymoon! Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the city center. Enjoy a romantic stroll along the seashore and visit the wonderful sights of the Sun Voyager Sculpture, Harpa Concert and music hall and last but not least, Iceland’s most famous building, the great Hallgrímskirkja church. Overnight at your downtown hotel in the heart of Reykjavík.
Today you will receive your rental car and head for the spectacular Snæfellsnes Peninsula where many adventures await you. Drive to the beautiful coastal village of Stykkishólmur where you can board a boat and go on a sightseeing cruise around the beautiful Breiðafjörður Bay (optional). You will see the captain of your boat plow the sea floor for fresh shellfish and sea urchin and of course, you get to taste. After the boat cruise drive around the peninsula towards the powerful Snæfellsjökull Glacier through beautiful coastal villages. Make sure you stop by the Hellnar Cove and get a warm cup of coffee at the Fjöruhúsið Café. We are willing to bet fortunes that it’s the most unique café you’ve ever been in. Continue to the South of the peninsula where you’ll stay for the night. A romantic walk on the beach into the night is highly recommended
Leave Snæfellsnes Peninsula behind and travel to the beautiful Borgarfjörður fjord where sizzling hot springs and spectacular waterfalls await your visit. Drive to Húsafell, a gemstone of Icelandic nature where lush green forests and rough lava fields battle for your attention. Make sure to stop by the Hraunfossar waterfalls (pictured to the right) where you can have a romantic picnic in beautiful surroundings. At Húsafell you can go for a swim in an outdoor geothermal swimming pool or take a short hiking tour or even play a round of golf.
Other sights include Deildartunguhver hot spring and the romantic Krauma geothermal hot pots and saunas, with extraordinary views! For those who are more adventurous, a visit Into the Glacier, the man-made ice cave inside Iceland’s second largest glacier might be of interest. You stay for the night in this area.
Today you’ll travel down to the South Coast of Iceland via Þingvellir National Park and The Golden Circle route. From Borgarfjörður make your way to Þingvellir, a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the most spectacular and unique places in Iceland, both in terms of sheer natural splendour, geology and historical value. Optional activities in Þingvellir include diving or snorkelling in Silfra Fissure and cave exploring on the Lyngdalsheiði Pass located close to Þingvellir. Drive towards the Geyser Area and have lunch in the Geyser Center. After that drive on to Gullfoss Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. Optional activities in this area are rafting and river-jet on Hvítá River, snowmobiling or horseback riding. Drive down to the south towards the direction Selfoss where you stay for the night.
After breakfast you leave for a short drive along the south coast of Iceland. At Skógar you’ll find an interesting folk museum and the amazing Skógafoss Waterfall. It is optional to go on a guided glacier hike on the Sólheimajökull Glacier or even take a guided snowmobile tour on the Mýrdalsjökull Glacier. Drive further towards the tiny village of Vík where you’ll find the Reynisdrangar Rock Formations. Drive back towards Reykjavík but don’t forget to stop at the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and enjoy a 360°view of the waterfall. Travel back to Reykjavík and deliver your rental car. Overnight at a hotel in the heart of Reykjavík.
Today you have a full free day in the city. Relax after your tour in one of numerous outdoor geothermally heated swimming pools that are to be found in and around the city. Go shopping on Laugavegur shopping street where you’ll find many interesting shops with local handcraft and design as well as cozy café’s and restaurants. It’s possible to go on a whale watching tour from Reykjavik Harbor that takes around 3 hours. There are many interesting museums in Reykjavik. We recommend the Saga Museum and the National Museum as well as Reykjavík 871±2 Settlement Exhibition. Dine at the wonderful Lækjarbrekka Restaurant or another gourmet restaurant that are to be found in this charming part of Reykjavik city. Overnight at your hotel.
Time is up for now and departure day has arrived but you’re not done just yet. You will be transferred to Keflavik International Airport in a private vehicle via the Krýsuvík Route. On the way, you’ll see the boiling mud pools of the Seltún high-temperature area and drive along the coastline of the rugged but beautiful Reykjanes Peninsula. You will stop at the Blue Lagoon where you will enjoy a wonderful in-water massage which is the ultimate way to relax and unwind before your flight home. After that, we will drop you off at Keflavik International in time for your afternoon flight home.

Reykjavík is the capital and biggest city of Iceland with a population of approximately 124,000. It is the northernmost capital in the world. Despite its small size, you can find many attractions and museums, making Reykjavik a popular destination.
Solfar Sculpture, also known as the Sun Voyager, is the famous steel sculpture created by artist Jón Gunnar Árnason. The art piece is located next to the Sæbraut road in downtown Reykjavík. Its shape reminds of a ship floating on air, facing the ocean.
Harpa is the famous concert hall and conference center located in Reykjavik. The building features a distinctive and original colored glass facade inspired by the basalt landscape of Iceland. Its unique architecture makes it one of Reykjavik most loved landmarks.
Hallgrímskirkja Church is most certainly Reykjavík´s best-known landmark. The white concrete Church whose image is printed in many postcards, dominates the city. As a matter of fact its tower can be seen from almost every corner of Reykjavík. Its distinctive and futuristic exterior made the Church one of the most visited spots in Reykjavík.
Stykkishólmur is the largest town in Snæfellsnes Peninsula and also the gateway to the Westfjords via the ferry Baldur. It is a center of services and commerce for this region and it is based on tourism and on the fishing industry.
Kirkjufell is a stunning 463 m high mountain on the north coast of Snæfellsnes peninsula in Iceland. It is located near Grundarfjörður village.
Arnarstapi is a small fishing village at the foot of Stapafell mountain, between Hellnar village and Breiðavík farms, on the southern side of Snæfellsnes, Iceland. It is famous for its extraordinary columnar basalt and rock formations.
Snæfellsjökull Glacier is a 700,000-year-old glacier-capped stratovolcano in western Iceland. The glacier-volcano is active and it is believed to be one of the seven energy centres of the earth.
Búðakirkja Church is a famous black wooden Church built up in 1703. This fascinating building sits alone in the Búðahraun lava field.
Deildartunguhver Hot Spring is the largest hot spring in Europe. It provides all hot water for the neighbouring villages.
Hraunfossar is a series of waterfalls coming from underneath Hallmundarhraun, a lava field formed by an eruption of the volcano situated under the glacier Langjökull. The waterfalls pour into the Hvítá river. Hraunfossar is located near Húsafell and Reykholt.
The history of Reykholt spans over a thousand years. Reykholt is most notable for being the home of the poet Snorri Sturluson(1179-1241), the author two of the greatest works of Icelandic literature, the Prose Edda and the chronicle of Norwegian kings; Heimskringla. Snorrastofa is the cultural center located in the age-old home of Snorri at Reykholt. Snorrastofa houses research, lectures, exhibitions, and tours. Also worth noting is the Snorralaug, the hot spring pool that Snorri used to unwind in after writing, this perhaps is the oldest hot tub in Iceland.
Þingvellir National Park is the most important historic and geological sites in Iceland. The area is part of a fissure zone running through Iceland, being situated on the tectonic plate boundaries of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Major events in the history of Iceland have taken place at Þingvellir and today the entire area is a protected national treasure.
Geysir is the famous hot spring area located in the Haukadalur valley. The main attraction is known as Strokkur, which erupts energetically at regular intervals of 10 minutes or so its boiling waterjets can reach as high as 30 meters.
Gullfoss, also called the Golden Waterfall, is one of the most iconic gems of the likewise named Golden Circle. The waterfall is located in the upper part of the River Hvíta. Gullfoss is actually two separate waterfalls, the upper one has a drop of 11 meters and the lower one 21 meters.
Kerið is a volcanic crater lake located in the area called Grímsnes in the South of Iceland, along the famous Golden Circle route. The crater walls are steep and often covered with Icelandic moss. The inside of the crater is a lake whose water is aquamarine colored due to the minerals from the soil. The crater is 55 meters deep and about 3000 years old.
Skogár Folk Museum is located next to the Skógafoss waterfall, in south Iceland. It consists of a cultural heritage collection of folk craft artifacts and examples of typical Icelandic turf farmhouses.

Vík is the southernmost village in Iceland, located on the ring road (Road number 1), featuring the impressive and popular black sand beach.
Skógafoss is a waterfall located on the Skógá river on the South Coast of Iceland. This picture-perfect waterfall descends 60 meters from the cliffs. Before pouring down the cliffs becoming the famous waterfall, the river flows through the Skógárgil gorge.
Seljalandsfoss is one of the most famous and visited waterfalls in Iceland. It located along the South Coast of the Country right by the road n. 1. The waterfall is part of the Seljalands river that originated from the famous volcano glacier Eyjafjallajökull. The waterfall is approximately 60-meter high and it is famous for its path that leads visitor behind its powerful water flow.
Reynisfjara is a famous black sand beach in the South of Iceland, just next to the village of Vik. Black sand, lava formations, and basalt columns make it a popular stop for all visitors.
Reynisdrangar cliffs are towering basalt-type rock formations situated near the shore of Reynisfjara black sand beach, on the South Coast of Iceland. The folk legend wants them to be the rocky representation of two trolls turned into stone after being caught by the sunlight after dawn.

Alþingi is the national parliament of Iceland. It is one of the oldest parliaments in the world, founded in 930 at Þingvellir National Park. It is located in downtown Reykjavik.
Reykjavík Old Harbour is fast becoming the new lively center of the city. There you will find museums such as Maritime Museum, the Northern Lights center and the Whales of Iceland exhibition. The harbour, which is quickly transforming into a modern city space, is also home to restaurants and cafes. A local favourite is ice cream shop Valdís, which makes fresh ice cream every morning and always offers new flavours.
Laugavegur is the main shopping street in Reykjavik and it is located in the heart of the city. Its name means literally „wash road“ as this was once the route to the hot springs where many Icelanders took their clothes to launder. Today it is a vibrant and innovative street filled with designer ateliers, tourist gift shops, bars, and restaurants.
The Blue Lagoon is a famous geothermal spa located in Reykjanes peninsula nearby the International Airport of Iceland. It was formed during an operation at the nearby geothermal power plant. Reservations in advance are necessary for those who are planning a visit.
Seltún is located on the Reykjanes Peninsula, a highly active geothermal area. Seltún consists of boiling mud pools and colourful mountains.
The Reykjanes peninsula is located on a drift zone, between two continents, the North American and Eurasian plate. It is a unique area where you can see different elements of the drift zone; very active geothermal energy, lava fields and other natural phenomenon. The Blue Lagoon and Keflavik international airport are also located in the area.
