    About your day

Your driver-guide will meet you at your accommodation this morning for your first day of exploration. Travel to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates in the dramatic Almannagjá rift valley. This site holds tremendous historical importance as the location of Iceland's ancient parliament, established over a thousand years ago. Continue to the Geysir geothermal area where you'll witness Strokkur geyser erupting every few minutes, shooting boiling water up to 30 meters into the air. The colorful hot springs and bubbling mud pools create an otherworldly landscape.

Next, experience the power of Gullfoss, the "Golden Waterfall," as the Hvítá River plunges into a dramatic two-tiered canyon. If time allows, you can stop at the beautiful Kerið volcanic crater with its vibrant blue lake on the way back to Reykjavík. Your driver-guide will share geological explanations and historical stories throughout the day.

Return to your Reykjavík accommodation in the evening.

    About your day

Today your driver-guide takes you to explore the Reykjanes Peninsula, an active geothermal area showcasing Iceland's volcanic power. This volcanic peninsula highlights the raw geothermal activity and the meeting point of tectonic plates. In recent years, the peninsula has experienced volcanic eruptions, and you can witness fresh lava fields that demonstrate Iceland's ongoing geological activity. Visit Seltún (Krýsuvík) geothermal area where you'll find boiling mud pools and mountains stained in vibrant colors from mineral deposits.

Continue to the Bridge Between the Continents, a symbolic footbridge where you can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Explore Gunnuhver geothermal area, one of Iceland's most powerful geothermal zones with dramatic steam vents and bubbling hot springs. The highlight of the day is your included visit to the world-famous Blue Lagoon. Relax in the warm, mineral-rich geothermal waters surrounded by a dramatic black lava field. The milky-blue water, rich in silica and minerals, offers a rejuvenating experience.

Return to Reykjavík in the evening.

Your driver-guide will take you to the famous Reynisfjara black sand beach near the village of Vík, where you'll see the dramatic Reynisdrangar basalt sea stacks rising from the ocean and impressive coastal cliffs. During summer months, puffins nest in this area. You'll also visit Dyrhólaey, a 120-meter-high promontory offering spectacular views over the black sand beaches and coastline.
